The quality of the dark sky that Cha’an Ka’an possesses cannot be surpassed by any other planetarium in Mexico, so much so that many visitors have seen the Milky Way for the first time in this enclosure. For this and many other reasons, astronomical evenings are scheduled every Thursday and Saturday.
During these nocturnal activities, 3 to 5 celestial objects can be seen through the main telescope. A talk is offered on what the sky offers and where the objects that are observed are located, as well as their important characteristics. There is also a guided tour with lasers to learn about the most outstanding stars and constellations of the season, there is also talk about classical celestial mythology, as well as Mayan mythology.
